From the desk of the President of Bhrashtachar Mitao Sena, San Francisco, California, USA

I had tons of debates with learned people, general public of India, negative and positive thinkers, politicians and others in past and also during and after the Annaji’s fast, and based on outcome of that what  I concluded is that do nothing and keep watching the country looted, because  there is no way to control the corruption. The simple reason is that, ‘even if you elect/vote a very honest and dedicated person for a constitutional position, what is guarantee that he/she could remain honest after getting the power, and will follow the code of conduct?’. So what should we do? We don’t have any medicine/pills which we could give corrupt people to convert them into the honest one. So, should we ask people like Annaji to stop doing what he is doing and tell him to go home and enjoy life, like 92% ( as per survey, 92% of us thinks only for themselves) of us are doing?  Shouldn’t we try anything to stop the corrupt acts of public servants?  Millions of suggestions are thrown by people, media and very-very educated people but I have found only handful of people/supporters working on implementation of ideas and real cause of country. What will happen if people who throw the ideas could also become part of implementers? This will make a great impact. People who don’t have time or resources can help us with money in the noble cause. We should avoid discouraging the people from doing something in fighting against the corruption for the sake of welfare of general public of India.

We need to keep in mind that:

  1. Law Makers (MLAs/MPs/Ministers) become corrupt after they elected and they also get out of general public’s control.
  2. CVC, CID, CBI, Police and/or any other investigation agencies, all are on mercy of (1) above.
  3. If we want to do anything good for people or any reform, we need help of (1) above.
  4. So, we can’t do anything on above three fronts easily until we have public support.

So, we need to start with ground zero and make place in public to enable us to do big, but most of our friends want to start with big things, which is impossible for common man like me. Even for a person of stature like Anna Hazare ji, it took about 25 years to do something on the issue of corruption. We should be indebted of respected Anna Hazare ji.

Can anyone please tell me what people like me, who don’t have any constitutional authority, should do to help control the corruption, since the authorized people to control the corruption are not doing anything? Or should we stop doing anything? Please keep in mind my points in bold above.

Every one has great ideas but ideas don’t work until they are materialized. I had my own ideas on how to remove corruption and I am working on implementation of these ideas in eastern part of Uttar Pradesh. But I know everyone can’t have resources and time to implement their own ideas so I would suggest them to send their ideas to respected Shri Anna Hazare ji and I think his team will certainly try to incorporate them if the ideas are accepted by majority of his team.
